The Australian trailer for An Adventure in Space and Time currently being broadcast on ABC1. The 90 minute docudrama will be aired on Sunday 24 November 2013 at 8.50 p.m. following the encore screening of The Day of the Doctor.

The BBC has released a five and a half minute slideshow on the history of Doctor Who. As the presentation’s precise tells us, “Five decades in five minutes – take a whistle-stop journey through time and space with all 11 regenerations of planet Earth’s best known Time Lord, his Tardis and his numerous travelling companions”.

The BBC has posted a 20 minute video of An Evening With Steven Moffat, a BBC Cymru Wales event in which the Executive Producer and Lead Writer of Doctor Who discusses 50 Years of the show. A clip from each of the 11 incarnations of the Doctor is shown and Moffat discusses the defining characteristics of every actor’s tenure. You can access the video interview here.

With the premiere of the docudrama on the genesis of Doctor Who, An Adventure in Space and Time, at the British Film Institute at 8:20 p.m. tonight, London time, the Radio Times has today published three articles on the film. Extensive on-set interviews were conducted with Sacha Dhawan who plays Director Waris Hussein; Jessica Raine who plays the first Producer Verity Lambert; and with the Director and Producer of the show, Terry McDonough and Matt Stevens. Another new image from An Adventure in Space and Time appeared on Twitter today. The Doctor Who Mind Robber believes that the image derives from the current print edition of the Radio Times.

The Region 2 release date for Mark Gatiss’ docudrama on the genesis of Doctor Who, An Adventure in Space and Time, has been announced, together with details on the Special Features to be included. The BBC’s Doctor Who TV website has reported that the DVD and Blu Ray is to be released in the UK on Monday 2 December. This is the same date set for the release of The Name of the Doctor on video.The Region 4 Australian and New Zealand release date has not yet been announced however as The Name of the Doctor is due to be released on 4 December 2013, it’s fair to assume that the docudrama may be issued on the same date.

An Adventure in Space and Time is written by Mark Gatiss, executive produced by Mark Gatiss, Steven Moffat and Caroline Skinner and directed by Terry McDonough. David Bradley (Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Broadchurch) plays the lead role of William Hartnell while Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife, The Woman in Black) co-stars as the first ever producer of Doctor Who, Verity Lambert. The stellar cast is joined by Sacha Dhawan (Waris Hussein), Lesley Manville (Heather Hartnell), and Brian Cox (Sydney Newman).
