BBC Media Centre Releases Video Interviews for The Day of the Doctor
Further to the Doctor Who Mind Robber’s post on 7 November, the BBC Media Centre has now released videos to accompany the short interviews with key cast members of The Day of the Doctor. Blogtor Who has uploaded the David Tennant interview on YouTube. All interviews, and their transcripts, can be accessed from the BBC Media website, the links for which are as follows:

The Day of the Doctor Sneak Peak – Elizabeth’s Credentials
The BBC has released the first of its sneak peaks of the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, The Day of the Doctor. The official trailer will be aired on BBC One on Saturday evening at 8.00 p.m. Given the precedent set by the release of the teaser trailer several weeks ago, it can only be assumed that the trailer will appear online immediately after its broadcast.

#SaveTheDay Promo – Hastag Video Released
The BBC has released a promotional video for Doctor Who’s #SaveTheDay promotion. In the 40 second clip the Eleventh Doctor waxes lyrical about his “like” for hastags and implores fans to “Show your Support. I need to know the world is ready!”.
As if any more of a hype is required, the Beeb is encouraging fans to use the #SaveTheDay hashtag to help unlock sneak peak preview clips of the Anniversary episode, The Day of the Doctor. A #SaveTheDay website has been established on which a selection of fans’ messages will displayed as golden “nodes” on the site. To be in the running to have your messages, images or videos displayed, just add the hastag #SaveTheDay to your Twitter, Facebook or Instagram post. Posts are moderated and not all will be shown.

The BBC Doctor Who Facebook page has created a digital invitation to the 50th Anniversary Special, The Day of the Doctor, which allows you to put your name and face into the opening titles. You can then share it with all your friends. Access to the invitation generator can be found here.

BBC Releases Doctor Who 50 Years’ Trailer
A trailer for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, The Day of the Doctor, was screened on BBC One this evening. The press release issued earlier today stated the following:
A specially created trailer celebrating the last 50 years of Doctor Who will air tonight on BBC One, as an exclusive image is revealed today featuring the 11 Doctors.
Travelling through time fans will be taken on a journey from the very beginning using state of the art technology. The special trailer is set to show all of the Doctors as they first appeared on screen, including William Hartnell in high res colour for the very first time, as celebrations ramp up to the 23 November.
A huge moment for the BBC, the 50th celebrations will culminate with the special episode, ‘The Day of the Doctor’, starring Matt Smith, David Tennant and Jenna Coleman with Billie Piper and John Hurt. A whole range of shows have also been commissioned across TV and radio to mark the anniversary.
The minute long trailer will air after Strictly Come Dancing tonight on BBC One and will be also be available on http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho
BBC Releases The Enemy of the World Trailer
With the announcement of the recovery of the complete six part Series 5 serial, The Enemy of the World, the BBC has released a trailer for the story. Although not yet for sale on iTunes Australia, the story is available for download on iTunes UK and USA. The Enemy of the World is for the first complete Troughton era Doctor Who serial to be recovered since The Tomb of the Cybermen was unearthed in Hong Kong in 1992.
BBC Releases The Web of Fear Trailer
With the announcement of the recovery of five episodes of the six part Series 5 serial, The Web of Fear, the BBC has released a trailer for the story. Although not yet for sale on iTunes Australia, the story is available for download on iTunes UK and USA. A reconstruction of the still missing episode three has also been released.
Welcome Third Doctor
Yes, I know that I’ve yet to review The War Games or watch Spearhead From Space (for the purposes of this marathon), however I’m far too excited about the arrival of my favourite Doctor to wait to share this clip. The first tattooed Doctor has appeared and what better way to endear him to the audience than through a shower scene. Thank goodness this is Doctor Who and not Psycho!
